All of our teams continue to race along different paths all across the country, each team looking for new relatives, each in a different location, all of them with their eyes set on the finish line, this season in an undisclosed location.

At the start of the race seven days ago in Washington, D.C., all of our teams surrendered their smart phones and all use of technology in exchange for paper maps and flip phones with no GPS or internet access.

Now they're headed to a new city.

They must take a selfie to prove that they've made it, successfully complete a set of challenges, and discover their new relatives, each within a different allotted time.

The team that goes over their allotted time the most will receive a strike.

Three strikes, and you're out of the race.

Dan: There are four legs in this obstacle course.

First, each team will be locked together at the wrist and ankle.

In a barrel of eggs, they must find the one egg that contains the key to unlock their wrists.

Then, in the second leg of the course, their ankle key is attached to a rubber duck at the bottom of a bucket.

They must flood the duck out, using only water that they bail with their own leaky buckets.

On the third leg of the course, the team members will take turns being blindfolded.

Blinded, they must also balance an egg with a spoon in their mouth, as their partner verbally navigates them under and over ropes.

If they drop the egg or touch a rope, they must start over.

Last but not least, in the final component of the course, one team member must successfully land a drone on top of their partner's head.

Each team is allotted 25 minutes to complete this challenge and gain their next set of instructions.

John: So we get to the egg bucket, and we just start popping them open, and I think to myself, all right, well it's got to rattle, 'cause there's a key in there, so I just start rattling a bunch.

John: In order to stack it, we had to take these straws and push them down through each of the layers so we're not pushing down on the cake.

And we stack it up, and then we just put as much frosting as we could around each layer t make sure that it would stay.

And then we have to balance this cake, blindfolded, through an obstacle course.

John starts the first half of the course, and I have to guide him through it.

Regardless of whether I grew up knowing her or not, she's blood, and she's a little piece of me, so I've always wanted to meet her.

I'm Diana Wilson, and I'm Troy's auntie.

This is your first cousin, my daughter Gina.

Hi, pleasure to meet-- It was the biggest greeting that we have gotten so far.

It was pretty big.

It was so cool when you can say you met your aunt and three first cousins in one day.

Diana: My mother is Troy's grandma.

It was like another piece of her that I found, and it was a shock, of course, because I didn't know my mom had given a child up for adoption.

That was Troy's dad.

She's like, "I wanna know about my brother, I want to hear about my brother."

So I started sharing stories about my dad that I just learned yesterday.

This is my brother.

I'm starting to visualize a man that I never knew existed, and now tonight it's sinking in that he is a real person.

Troy: By telling those stories, it just fulfills me even more.

My aunt Diana had no idea about my dad.

She does now.

Jamie: After dinner, Jimmy wanted to show us some of his like super cool Elvis stuff, and I'm like, oh, cool, he probably had like a couple books or something.

Jimmy: Come on in.

Oh, wow.

Jimmy: Look at the man room.

This is so cool!

Morgan: What?

I feel like I'm in a museum!

Jamie: This is amazing!

Jimmy: Little bit of a mix of everything.

You know, I just loved Elvis since I was a kid.

Just, I don't know what about him I love, other than his music.

I mean, it's just incredible.

Jamie: It's really cool to see this kind of cultural museum of Elvis and music, some of the similarities that we had.

Jimmy: Hope it helps you understand me a little bit better.

I don't know if that's good or bad.

Oh, we love it.

Jimmy: You may not want to stay now, but... Jamie: No, I love it so much.

Dan: As the sisters enjoy their musical lineage, Michael Anderson is with his cousins, Kathy and Melanie, learning more about his family tree.

John and Ruth are your great-grandparents.

Michael: And so this is where I fit in down through here.

Melanie: And one more.

That's my mother.

And I notice, everyone's pretty much local.

I'm seeing a lot of Mooresvilles, so I'm going to assume that she still lives in Mooresville, which is 25 minutes from my house.

So I've already met my father on this journey, and then yesterday my sister Stephanie shows me my mother's face for the very first time in a photo.

Knowing that she's alive, and the city she could possibly live in is 25 minutes from my house?

For 45 years?

It's-- It gives me hope that I'm going to get to meet her face to face.

Dan: In Lodi, California, Rebecca, on Team Black, has waited over two decades to be reunited with her sister, Chelsea.

So, yeah.

So tell me about your life.

Um, it's been good.

Yeah, I was adopted by my aunt and my uncle, my mom's sister.

They gave me the best life.

Yeah?

My last memory of Chelsea was hugging her goodbye at her fifth birthday party.

Okay, so this is the picture I have with you.

Chelsea: My bowlcut.

Ha!

Rebecca: And then there's Ashley, and then me, and that's you in the middle playing with the phone.

Chelsea: Wow.

You know what, to be honest with you, I don't-- I don't remember.

The picture that I have of Rebecca-- She's sitting on a couch, and she's actually holding me when I'm only a couple months old.

Rebecca and I share the same biological father, Charles Avitt.

My biological mom, Susan Neer, was murdered by Charles Avitt.

He took a life from both of us.

Rebecca: I was adopted into my father's family, and she was adopted into her mother's family.

Chelsea: I would study Rebecca's picture, and just wonder what color she liked, and what kind of person she grew up to be, because I didn't know how Rebecca grew up.

I didn't know that she knew of me at all.

We were really young.

It's hard to put all the pieces together, and then you're hearing from both sides of the story, and-- At least I learned that we were loved, and people knew about us.

Yeah?

Rebecca: I always knew I had a sister, and I wanted to meet her, but I didn't know her last name.

I didn't even know how to go about finding her.

And apparently, Chelsea felt the same way.

You have to wonder, does your sister know about you?

Does she want to meet you?

Do you want to step in on their lfie when it's been so long?

Chelsea: It's something that I've always wanted to happen.

I just didn't know when, so... Twenty-five years.

And here she is, right where I was born.

Rebecca's very loved.

She always has been.

I could do this all day.

It's a good day.

I can already tell that it's gonna be exactly like a sister relationship that it should've been the entire time.

So, I have a surprise for you, to take you, if you're game.

Chelsea: I took Rebecca to the cemetery, here in Lodi.

My biological mom, Susan Neer, is buried at that cemetery, and Rebecca's mom, Karen Richards, is also buried in that cemetery in the mausoleum.

Seemed like it would be something that hurts your heart a little bit, but it was actually really refreshing.

That's where we're connected, and it seemed only right we were able to go visit our moms.

Never thought this day would happen, did you?

Chelsea: I know, right?

To share that moment with Rebecca was something I'll always cherish, to share just the love that we have for our moms.

And you know, I didn't know her, but I love her.

I usually come down here and say hi when I've got like the world on my shoulders.

I bet.

Chelsea: We share a lot in common, even though we didn't really grow up around each other.

Your mom is also here, so we're gonna go-- Can we see her?

Yeah, we're gonna go see her.

And unfortunately, when we went over to see Rebecca's mom, the mausoleum was closed, but we're gonna be back there tomorrow morning.

Chelsea: And they open at 8, so, get back early enough.

So we're gonna try and head back tomorrow, first thing in the morning, pay our respects, and see Mom one more time.

Team Green, you faced a father and son duo.

How do you think you did in head-to-head competition against Team Blue?

Jamie: You know, we definitely had some challenges, but the hardest thing was that we were actually having so much fun being around Team Blue.

I kept picking up Michael's accent, and we were just-- yeah, it was silly, but we were proud of ourselves for completing it, because we decided to stick with it and complete it.

Dan: Team Red?

How do you think you did against Team Black?

Oh, not well at all.

They smoked us.

We like to say that we're kind of slow playing it for Day 10.

Yeah.

Its a false sense of security for Team Black.

Uh, well, we'll see.

Team Black, what do you think?

Did you destroy Team Red?

Rebecca: Well, I think Team Red scrambled enough eggs to make breakfast tomorrow morning.

[Troy laughing] That's true.

Dan: Well, I'm glad that the teams had some healthy head-to-head competition, but one of you is going to be knocked off your perch.

Team Red, who did you meet?

I got to meet my dad's sister, my aunt, and my three first cousins.

Look at that grin!

Troy: It's awesome.

Two of my first cousins look just like me, beard and all.

Dan: I know for you, Rebecca particularly, this day, and perhaps your most emotional day.

Yes, it did.

Folks, let me introduce you to my sister, Chelsea.

This is my baby sister, guys.

You know, I have a son that-- that was his motto.

Yesterday you see a picture of your mother for the first time, and today you find out something perhaps equally, or if not more important.

My mother is still alive, and I'm pretty sure I know what city she lives in, and it's 25 minutes from where I live.

Well, I haven't found her yet, but I'm pretty sure that's where she's at.

It has been a wonderful day.

It becomes more and more difficult the closer we come to the end of this race, because this is Day 7.

And when you hear these profound, deeply real and moving stories about family, it's tough to hand out a strike, and yet it's that time.

I mentioned 28 minutes is all that separated first from worst.

Finishing in first place, 11 minutes over your allotted time, you guys seem to be the dominant team, Team Black.

Team Green, if you receive this strike, it is your third strike, and you will be leaving the race.

Dan: Team Red, you finished 39 minutes over your allotted time.

Nicole: Pretty bummed we got a strike, because it puts us on the chopping block to where tomorrow, one of the three of us is going home.

Dan: And so I ask you, Team Black, do you pick the immediate game benefit, or do you feel that perhaps another Day 10 benefit is key to that ultimate prize of $50,000?

It's up to you.

Your decision is... Well Dan, we're gonna make sure we go to Day 10, so we're taking that immunity for tomorrow.

I remember every embrace of every relative that I have come in contact with, and today felt like I carried all of that with me to be able to celebrate it with everyone that's in this house today, and every tear shed, every strike given, it makes it all worth it.

We're only been together a few hours, but it seems like the world changed and everything is right.

Like, I have another sister to text when I have something exciting, or call and complain when I'm upset, but, all feels right in the world.

It's a strange feeling.
